This day kind of brought back memories to me when several years ago I was working at 5/3 Bank and we got the news of the 911 Terrorist Attack. Fast forward to this day, and hearing of yet another school shooting. This time little kids. Let me just say, any loss of life to a shooting or other malicious act, is not right on any level, but innocent kids. What on earth was this young man thinking? Why didn't anyone see the signs? Why didn't he have mental treatment if anyone suspected he was not right before then?
I immediately put myself in the parents shoes, again, ANY time of the year would be hard to lose a loved one in such a violent, senseless act, but thinking about that child's Christmas presents under the tree, which they will never get to open, and they will serve as a reminder, as will many things, that their "babies" are now in heaven.
Wow, I just can't tell you what all went thru my head when I heard this sad, sad news. Makes me feel blessed to have my family in tact, for the most part. :) My heart goes out to all the parents, grandparents, and siblings that were effected by this horrible event. May God Bless them as they move forward and keep their children's memories alive!
