My Day Off

Funny how being "off" every day for almost a year is suddenly wiped out of your memory, when you score a day off with pay!  I took one of my floating holidays and waited for Brittanee and Teddy's arrival.  Brittanee always comes home for the Fall Festival, and although I loathe going down there I do, because she wants to, and I am nice like that.

Well, imagine my surprise (and very happy dance on the inside) when she gave me an alternative.  If we all go out, meaning my mom, her and I, go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner, we could skip the FF.  Hands down, we were going to Texas Roadhouse!  Food was yummy as usual!  My mom got the porkchop, baked potato, mixed veggies, and Dr Pepper. Brittanee got grilled chicken, corn and mashed potatoes.  I got porkchop, green beans, and baked potato.  It was very good and we hadn't been there in awhile, so it was extra good.  :)  And of course lots of rolls and that delish cinammon butter!  I had to take left overs home and yes he gave me some rolls and butter too!  To be devoured at a later time.....

Before Texas Roadhouse, Brittanee and I went to my sister's house in Henderson, to see her, Angie and Baby Macey.  Macey is getting to be sooo big.  She is now 7 months old and starting to smile and coo a lot.  Very cute baby!  But I am partial she is my nephew's baby.  :)  Enjoyed that visit.

After Texas Roadhouse, we ventured to Wally World to pick up a few things.  Then on to Sweet Ce Ce's for a dessert that none of us needed, and 2 of us really didn't have room for.  And then we headed home to watch Grey's Anatomy. 

How is that for a day off with pay?!!  Pretty sweet I must say!
