Post for Monday, October 8, 2012
On Mondays my job has usually been offering overtime and I half expected to work a 12 hour day that day, but I guess since it was a holiday, Columbus day, the powers that be thought we would not be busy. Hellllooooo half of America is off and you don't think they will call when they have free time, where they can cuss you out because they don't have power, and they can openly call you every name in the book because their cubicle neighbor isn't listening today? Ok, so that is over exaggerating, I don't think I have been cussed out yet, I am sure that will happen, and very soon with the changing of weather. Bring it on!!
Instead of working OT on crazy Monday, we were offered OT on Tuesday, I took it. I jumped at the chance. I am poor and the more money I have the more I can get my bills whittled down one dollar at a time. :) And maybe have some left over for Christmas, maybe.
Monday on the phone was a killer busy day, but from what I understand that was just the tip of the iceberg. Next week starts our incredibly busy season. More training on new things coming the end of this week. Oh goody! Again I say bring it on!
I won't lie, and I am sure someone that lives in a mansion (no names), will tell you I still screw things up. I try and now that I have been coached I feel I am watching things more closely. I am not opposed to knowing what I did wrong, to me it is a learning point, and I am making mental notes as I hear the feedback and take the lashings. No really, the folks that I work with are top notch. Never did I think you would hear me say that, but really they are. I don't quite feel like "part of the family" just yet, but some I have really grown to like.
Brittanee left to go back home while I was at work, and she left Teddy behind for a couple of months until she moves into her new apartment and gets some furniture for the 2 of them. Teddy is sad, you can tell he misses Brittanee. At first when he walked around his tail was not straight up like it used to be and how a happy cat should be. It was curled and hung around his backside. :( Unhappy critters makes me unhappy. Big time! I tried to sleep with him but he didn't sleep with me the entire night. So next time it is Pepper's turn to have me to sleep with her and cuddle with her. Lucky she is a cuddler. :)
