Finally the day I am been salivatating for has finally arrived! I don't know what I was thinking but I didn't arrive at 10 like I always do to secure a lawn chair. My bad. When I did get there at about 1015 there was a line to get in, they opened at 10am! I was thinking middle of the week, wont be crowded til about noon. Was I wrong! And for the first time in a long time I didn't get a chair!
I tried to rent a locker for 25 cents but the stupid thing charged 25 cents each time you opened it. Well, I had to reapply sunscreen, I took my float to the car after I was done with it to swim for awhile because I didn't have a chair to leave my stuff on.
Let's face it all the people at Burdette are not folks I would trust leaving my Iphone and car keys in my beach bag without a chair. I don't know what is so different than having a chair for my stuff, it is just a comfort feature to me.
A friend of mine that I hadn't seen in awhile went with me, Donna, and we had a good time at the pool. I tried to eat some fries there but they were yucky and made me sick for a few minutes. Probably stayed 4 hours at the pool, it was hot, the water was a nice comfortable temp and I got a tan! It was all good!
Came home, took a shower then took my mom out a few places, all and all not a bad day off if I do say so myself! Looking forward to the next day off!
