All About Mondays

Posting for Monday, April 29th, 2013

It's funny how at work they asked for people to work overtime and yet it was not that busy, which was a nice relief for me.  And though I don't really understand because we were not back to back, one call after the other busy, our day seemed to fly by.  That is the part I enjoyed about yesterday, and it was Monday to boot!

Here are some Monday-isms.....

I haven't had this bad of a Monday since last Monday.

If Monday was a person it would be a ginger.

Just once, I would like to wake up, turn on the news, and hear...'Monday has been canceled, go back to sleep.'

It's awful knowing that one seventh of our life will be wasted on Mondays.

They should make Mondays illegal.

Monday is like a math problem. Add the irritation, subtract the sleep, multiply the problems, divide the happiness.

Shortest horror story in history: Tomorrow is Monday.

This is how my week goes. Mooooooooooooonday, Tuuuuuuuesday, Weeeeeeednesday, Thuuuuuuursday, FridaySaturdaySunday.

Hate mondays, annoy tuesdays, ignore wednesdays, smile thursdays, love fridays, enjoy saturdays, damn sundays.

Mondays should be optional...

Last day of Brittanee's Birthday Weekend

Posting for Sunday, April 28th, 2013

Last day with Brittanee here for her birthday weekend.  We all woke up at different times.  Then Brittanee and I made her some grilled chicken on the George Foreman grill to take back with her for lunch for the next few days til she goes on her work trip to Montana.  We buy the marinated garlic chicken breasts at Schnucks meat counter, she seems to really like them.

We ran to Shoe Carnival to try to replace Britt's Sperry's she got for her birthday, these had a hole in them, the shoe lace was frayed and they were not the correct color.  Shoe Carnival on the Westside didn't have them so she had to take them back to Zionsville with her to see if she could find them there before her trip.

From there we ran to Walmart, they stayed in the car and I ran in for 2 cases of water and 40 lbs of kitty litter.  With 3 cats 40 lbs doensn't last very long in our household.   But we love our fur kids and so therefore we must take good care of them and their litter boxes, that is my job, by the way.  If it weren't for that task, and especially with cleaning up after Teddy, I would opt for more felines.  No need to worry, I am no where near to being the crazy cat lady.

Then we mosied to TGI Fridays to have dinner before Brittanee headed back home.  I, personally, didn't care for my meal there.  It used to be a really good restaurant and now I can honestly say I don't care if I ever go there again.  The appetizer we got was yummy other than that, it was an overpriced meal, the service was not that great and neither was the food, I would have rather went to Outback or Texas Roadhouse.  But Brittanee liked her meal and we sent her on her way with a full belly.  She is in some kind of TGI Fridays club and got a free dessert for her birthday, she took some Vanilla Bean Cheesecake on the road with her.

From here she had to race to Bloomington Kohl's to pick up some luggage pieces they were holding for her, after she looked all over town here for them, then she made it home by 11pm.  She must work 2 days and then she will be flying on that big bird to Montana.  I pray for safe flying and that she enjoys each minute she will be trying something new!

Brittanee tried something new and liked it

Posting for Saturday, April 27th, 2013

Brittanee had never had Subway breakfast so I went to pick some up, her treat, for her, my mom and me.  My favorite breakfast sandwich from there is an English Muffin, with the black forest ham, provolone cheese toasted then I like to add green peppers, onions (oh how I love me some onions), sometimes a tomato in the mix and a little chipotle sauce.  It is good, if you haven't tried it yet, I urge you to try it sometime!  In fact, a worker there told me I was on to something because after I was in there a few weeks ago, he tried my creation combo and loved it.  Who knows you may see me on a Subway commercial, yeah right!

My mom likes the flatbread with egg, provolone cheese and extra bacon.  I tried to get her some Seattles Best coffee, who also owns Starbucks, but they dump their coffee after 1030, yet they sell breakfast all day.  I don't understand their practices but oh well.

Brittanee wanted to try the flatbread with egg, American cheese and bacon.  She loved it, in fact, her words were "how did I never know Subway sold breakfast and it was this yummy."  See, I have been telling her this for ages but mothers never know anything.  LOL.

I should also mention that you are able to get egg whites or yellow eggs, I alternate usually.  I know that the white eggs are much healthier for you, but I figure if I am going to be giving up my frequent trips to Starbucks, one can have a little yellow egg at times.

We made some beef tips for dinner in the crockpot, tried to take a nap, Brittanee was the only one that accomplished that.  We played some Wii, Yahtzee and had our dinner.  It was a nice day all in all.

Trip to the Doctor

Posting for Friday, April 26th, 2013

So, I have been officially sick since last Friday and have tried several different over the counter meds and none have seemed to put a dent in what it is I am experiencing.  After having so much pain in my cheeks and feeling so run down yesterday and most of today, I decided to go to the doctor and see once and for all what the heck it is that I have.  Turns out I have a bad sinus infection and bronchitis.  Dr says if I waited much longer, with as raspy as I am, I might have been in the hospital with pneumonia.

I have 2 meds that I am hoping will help me.  Last night I took some Nyquil and it knocked me right out, hoping my prescribed meds will do the same for me.  I have been so miserable, especially with the cough I have, it is awful!

Hoping to feel better soon!

My baby turns 23

Posting for Thursday, April 25th, 2013

Brittanee turned 23 today.  Wow!  Where did the time go?  Funny thing is I had her when I was 23, and she announced that she would not be having a baby when she is 23.  Good to know!  :)

She liked her presents--I got her a pink Fitbit, a pair of exercise pants she wanted, 2 candles and some cute air fresheners for her car.  She also got her Sperry's she wanted, the new Band Perry CD, socks and a plant she is going to attempt to nurture and watch it grow.

Her cake came from Donut Bank and she picked Old Chicago to eat her birthday dinner.  I wasn't thrilled about going but after eating the pizza we had, I am sold, in fact I might go back another time.  And their orange soda rootbeer (gourmet root beer) was outta this world!

A nice luncheon

Posting for Wednesday, April 24th, 2013

At work I was treated to a nice special luncheon plus meeting.  It was for 1 1/2 hours and our lunch was catered by Fazoli's.  I was pleasantly surprised by my turkey club that I ate, as we had boxed lunches.  It was delish!  I had no idea they sold anything but spaghetti and/or lasagna.  Yep, say it, I don't get out much.  Truth is we used to frequent Fazoli's for their breadsticks but haven't been there in years.

In our boxed lunch we also had apple slices, a big chocolate chip cookie and a bottle of Nestle water.  It was a nice time off the phone and I learned about lots of changes coming our way.  The future, if I make it that far, looks pretty promising.

A new experience

Posting for Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013

So, we have a newer washer and it has a bigger tub than the one we used to have, but it will not accomodate our bulky comforters, so therefore I had to load up one of my moms comforters and take it to a laundry mat.  I haven't been to a laundry mat in years!  It was quite the experience.

I am not saying I am too good, or better than the people that use the laundry mats.  I understand not having a washer or dryer, I was like that when I was first married and we had to go to the laundry mat all of the time.  It is not one of my favorite things to do.  So weird,  I am a people watcher most of the time, and this day was no different.  I saw plenty of characters for sure.

I managed to wash and dry the comforter with no assistance.  People there seemed not so friendly to strike up a conversation or offer any kind of assistance one way or the other.  Good thing I could read.  And had one dollar bills so I could get change on my own without having to ask anyone for change.

I was there for over 3 hours on my day off and wasn't feeling up to par, but I did it and it's over.  I hope I don't have to go back any time soon.

Oh my God Make it Stop!!

Posting for Monday, April 22nd, 2013

With the time of the year starting to get a little warmer, our call volume at work, is supposed to slowly subside.  Instead it is running non stop and making me go a little more crazy every hour.

I still like the 4 10 hour days, something I have been wanting to do for a very long time at any job I have had and I love my days off.  True, that when we are back to back one phone call after the other busy it makes the day go by faster but this is ridiculous.  I would like to be able to breathe from time to time.

I know with summer coming along in another couple of months we will slow wayyy down and I will like that and actually leave early somme days when I am able to hit the pool.  That is a perk for sure, but this busy busy busy has to go go go!

First Airplane Ride

Posting for Sunday, April 21st, 2013

As many of you all know, my daughter, Brittanee landed a job at WebMD in August, 2 months after graduation.  Go Brittanee!  She had put in to go on an onsite visit and coach people about their blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar, etc.  And she found out last week she was chosen to go to Billngs Montana!  Now, this will be her first airplane ride, and she is frantically searching for some luggage that she can take on this trip.  It will be 3 or 4 days and she will have 6 layovers.  Pretty exciting stuff for a first time flyer.

I have only flown once and that was when we flew to Germany just my mom and I in 1978 when I was 11.  I don't remember much about it.  But with all the crazies in the world, not sure I would ever want to get on another plane again.  Time will tell...

Anyway, I am very proud of Brittanee and all that she has accomplished, especially since graduation.  Most of her friends that graduated when she did, they had to take jobs as a waitress, or hostess, or something like that because they haven't been able to land a career type job.

She says she isn't nervous about boarding a plane but I bet you that the week she is due to leave she won't be getting much sleep.  Go Brittanee!!  Be successful so you can take care of your mom as she gets older!

Birthday Shopping

Posting for Saturday, April 20th, 2013

Wasn't feeling quite up to par, feeling like I am going to be sick with a cold or something like that, and had every intention of going to the mall when they opened but didn't quite make it.  I had to lie back down for awhile and then ventured out.  I can't say what  I bought as I don't know if my lovely daughter will be reading this or not.

Can't believe my "baby" will be 23 in 5 days!  Where has the time gone?!  Brittanee will be coming home for her birthday Thursday thru Sunday.

Taco Day at work

Posting for Friday, April 19, 2013

As most of you know, I am not big on participating on food days.  I am rather particular what I eat from other people's kitchens.  Someone I don't know got promoted to a team lead and so someone came up with the idea that all teams participate and have taco day.  Everyone was assigned to bring something, I brought about 5 2 liters to drink for people.  I never touched a bite of food.

Let me explain, this doesn't mean to insult hunters, etc, but this girl that sits next to me, announced she could bring the taco meat because her husband had bought a whole cow and her freezer was so stocked she couldnt fit anything else in it.  Ok, so to me, that is the first gross thing.  Don't get me wrong, I know all ground beef comes from cows but to hear those words told me I didn't want to eat in this taco day.

Then there was arguing how she was going to cook the "cow" as they kept referring to it, and then eventually of a lot of questions back and forth, my cubicle neighbor decided to bring it in for another girl to take home and cook the cow herself because she only liked certain seasonings in her cow meat.

It smelled gross and the people that didn't participate were coming over getting platefuls, sure help yourself.  Grrrr.

Glad taco day is over and we can move on....

Busy day

Posting for Thursday, April 18th, 2013

It was a busy day at work the phones would not stop ringing.  I had signed up for auto time to leave early but that just wasn't meant to be.

People on the other end of the phone have gotten to be so rude, they need to re learn their phone manners and etiquette...if they ever had any in the first place.

Tell me why do people want to argue with you over something that is CLEARLY printed on their bill, then they want to tell you they either didn't get that statement or they admit to never opening up their bill or reading their bill and it is my fault they were disconnected?  How does that work exactly?

You know that song by Meatloaf, I think it is I would do anything for love but I won't do that, I would like to change the words to I would do anything to get out of something even lie, but the truth NEVER I won't do that.  Lol.  Just a thought.

And when you point blank ask them if they have called to make arrangements they stutter and say they didn't know they could do that, or they just got out of the hospital, or some other lie which you can smell coming your way.  Cracks me up.

I used to wonder if I would feel sorry for people getting their utilities turned off, but I only feel sorry for the elderly not the every day run of the mill people.  They get themselves into these
predicaments.

I am itching to see the collections side of the utility company.  I will get to do that soon!  Looking forward to that day!

My heart goes out to the people of Boston

Posting  for Wednesday, April 17th, 2013

I just can't begin to imagine what the people of Boston are going through, the ones that lost loved ones, all the ones that lost arms, legs, feet, etc.  How does someone so evil make bombs like this that can destroy hundreds of people and lives?  Who even thinks up such madness?

I hope they find the people responsible for this and they suffer more than the people have at the marathon.

Such a senseless tragedy!

Finally a day off....

Posting for Tuesday, April 16th, 2013

I always look forward to my day off, and I love having Wednesday off the best, but the powers that be that do the schedules give either Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays off for those of us that work 4 ten hour shifts.  Really, I just love having that day off.  But having it off on a Tuesday makes the rest of the week seem really long.

This day off was a disappointing day for me, I ran some errands and then had to come and lie down as I didn't feel very well.  In fact, I had to take 2 naps that day.  To be honest, I don't think I have been getting enough sleep in what feels like forever!

I was still glad I was off even though I didn't get much accomplished.

Lost FitBit

Posting for Monday, April 15th, 2013

So with the many places we went yesterday, somewhere along the way I lost my Fitbit, the little device that my job gave me for part of our 10K steps per day.  I called many places to see if I had lost it there and finally when I called AT&T they had it, they were holding it for me til today.  So on my lunch hour I drove there to pick up my little $60 value Fitbit.  We were reunited and it felt soooo good.

Started walking, walking, walking.  I so got this!

Welcome to the wonderful world of Apple Iphones

Posting for Sunday, April 14th, 2013

My mom and I ventured to AT&T in the afternoon to pick up an Iphone 4s.  She is now an official Iphone customer.  Brittanee bought the phone for her, she picked out a white one and had ordered herself a phone case before we made this trip, and is anxiously awaiting its arrival.

When she first got it and we were practicing on it she wanted to send it back but I think she is more excited about it now, even though we have a lot of work to do on it.  I am trying to make her comfortable with the text messaging and phone call aspect of it first then we will move to harder things.  Last night we added a few apps, this is going to be new for me too, as she wont have the unlimited data package we have so hopefully what I teach her wont make a HUGE bill.

We will see.......

A walk in my happy place

Posting for Saturday, April 13th, 2013

So this morning, Baby and I ventured out on our walk to ...Burdette Park.  I looked at my favorite place in the summer, Burdette pool, and it was nasty with green water and leaves and other debris.  I challenged the both of us going up and down hills, we were both panting a little here and there on this trip.  I saw a fox!  Glad Baby didn't or I am not entirely sure I would be here writing this.  We def got our walk on!

The rest of the day I did a whole lot of nothing!  I weighed on my official weigh day and lost 9 lbs so far.  This walking gig is going to prove beneficial in more ways than one!  Walk on brother!

Just not the same....

Posting for Friday, April 12th, 2013

Since one of our coworkers went home to be an AHA (at home agent) we didn't have time to prepare to do anything special for her so we decided to meet at Kipplee's for a little get together for Brittney.  She has the most adorable children and very well behaved!  Met her hubby too, seemed like a nice guy.

R came with her little baby and I even got to hold him a bit before he started crying when his paci fell on the floor.  She had her 2nd grade son also and another little boy, they were well behaved also.

Others came too and then it got chaotic.  It took me back to a time when life was simple and get togethers were just that, getting together catching up.  I see most of these people everyday and there was nothing to "catch up" on.  I felt like the fifth wheel and as you know, I do not like feeling this way.  I won't be getting into any more outings such as this.

I can't believe it!

This list could go on and on my friends, but this is it for now.  May you have a groovy weekend!

Day off

Posting for Wednesday, April 10th, 2013

I always look forward to my day off, since starting the 4 10 hour days the end of February, our day off each week alternates from Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.  We can't have Fridays or Mondays due to heavy call volumes.  Those days suit me just fine, just enough to recharge and get some free time.

As usual, this was not a day to rest.  As if!  Had to take Baby to the vet for her shots, she is such a good dog.  She, like me, is overweight, so we are on this walking/weightloss journey together.

At work we are doing the 10k steps a day challenge until the end of May and that has really kept me motivated so far.  I am walking more than I have probably in the last 3 years probably and yes, have some aches and pains but I have already been able to tell the shedding of some of those unwanted lbs and that keeps me motivated...thus far.

After the vet, went and got a much needed pedicure!  Didn't like the girl "Pink" that done them this time, the french manicure was fine, the spa part lacked in many things.  When you pay additional for an added service you expect to feel pampered, this chick was just going thru the motions and while doing so, she used her razor thingy and cut too much dead, I am guessing, skin off of a scar on the side of my foot and now I have an open sore.  Great!  Won't be going back there again!

Then went walking at the river with Ashley, Stephani, and Jerri.  They wore me out.  I have found since I have been walking and exposed to so much fresh air that I have been sleeping a little better.  That is always a plus.  I love to sleep!

It can only get better from here my friends!!

You will be missed Bill Pennell

Posting for Tuesday, April 9th, 2013

I started my new job June 4th, 2013 with a smaller than normal training class, there were just 6 of us, which as mind boggling all of the information we learned over 2 months time, was very nice we only had 6 people.  There was me, Margaret, Bill, Stephani, Tyne, and Jenn.  Margaret and Bill had worked together previously at Card Management and found themselves starting a new path again, I thought that was neat, especially how close they were.  We all got a long too which was a plus.

Bill was a loner of sorts at work, he was a smoker so every time I would go out and walk on my break or lunch, Bill would be out by a tree smoking or smoking in his car and eating his lunch and reading a book in his car.  He always spoke.  He complimented me when I changed my hair cut or color, he was always a wealth of information also.

I remember the last time I saw him was a night in January when were leaving at 7, our old shift and we were talking about me trying to lose weight and he had said something funny about watching the David Letterman show and they were talking about New Year's Resolutions and weight loss he told me I should try to see if I could see the rerun of the show.  I never saw him again after that.

He said that he had always been super healthy except a couple of times last year when he had pneumonia.  He was the kind of person that didn't take meds no matter what and hated going to the doctor.

It seems around Christmas he was putting up Christmas decorations in an attic and hit his head, then his shoulder started giving him fits.  After weeks of living through the pain, I call in too stubborn to go to the doctor, he finally broke down and went because his shoulder was hurting so bad.  I remember him telling me he fell asleep at work after that because they had given him muscle relaxers and hadn't taken one a day in his life, and they affected him hard.  He said his team lead insisted he go home and get some rest.  Then I guess the doctor wanted an MRI, that is where they found 3 brain tumors.  He immediately went out on disability, which kind I am not sure, he was thinking about working reduced hours, but now he had to deal with these tumors.  I had just heard about 3 weeks ago on top of all of that, can you imagine, he had to find out more bad news?  He had lung cancer and was terminal.  Unfortunately this cancer took him quick, he passed away April 7.

Brings back so many memories of my dad, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in February 2003 and died May 2003.  The cancer doctors had told us he had up to 6 months to live.  Cancer is a very frightening thing. I hate it and I hate that it takes the ones we love from us.

I wrote this poem dedicated to Bill, a new friend, that joined the Angels in Heaven.

It is with a heavy heart I write this to ease my mind
We lost a co-worker of ours on Sunday, Bill, a soul who was very kind
In a large busy world where you begin a new job, new chapter, make new friends...in our small training class, is where it all began
Bill would ask question after question to make sure he'd understand, he was a very nice man
True, I wasn't extremely close to Bill but we would always speak
I hadn't seen him in several months--I had heard he had become quite weak
My thoughts and prayers are with his family for sure
Cancer is NOT our friend, but we must endure
I'm praying for Bill that he is in a place where there is NO pain
And where there is an abundance of sunshine and very little rain

Rest in peace Bill.  I am glad I met you.

One step at a time.....

Posting for Monday, April 8th, 2013

I don't think I have ever walked as much as I have today.  Today started our 10,000 steps a day weightloss venture through our job.  We are all proudly sporting our Fitbit zips and tracking those steps and walking walking walking!  Walked on both of my breaks, part of my lunch and 2 hours after work with part of my team.  It was very nice, not too hot, slight breeze but now I can hardly move.  Will I give up?  No way!!  This may just be the path I needed!!

Love Saves The Day

Posting for Sunday, April 7th, 2013

This was a lazy day.  I did do some cleaning but then spent a lot of time reading Love Saves the Day to my mom from my Nook.  I started reading this book about a cat and thought she might like to hear it as well, she does and we have been reading it for 3 days now.  Very interesting that someone thought to write from the point of view of a cat!  Why didn't I think of that?

We have a little over 100 pages to go have read about 190 so far.  I highly recommend this book by Gwen Cooper, next we will embark on another of her cat books Homer's Odyssey.  Can't wait!

On your mark get set....eat breakfast and then walk

Posting for Saturday, April 6th, 2013

Decided to meet Stephani at Bob Evans for breakfast and then we went walking at the State Hospital.  She took me all around to paths I had never been on, around the garden area (who knew there was such a place), up inclines, down hills, by lots of ducks, a hurt bird, an otter, places I never knew that existed on the grounds of the State Hospital.  We ended up walking 6084 steps went 2.99 miles and burned 455 calories.  Go us!  Starting our walking and step program a few days early.

After that I had to go to Sams and get some things.  Later I plan on taking Baby for a walk as well.  And then I definitely see a nap in my future before the big Louisville game.  Go Cards!!

TGIF

Posting for Friday, April 5th, 2013

Thank God it's Friday!  Even though I only had a 3 day work week this week, it was one that truly drained me.  For several reasons.  Because I had two prior customer compliments that earns you 15 minutes off the phone (to leave early) for each one, so I took my 30 minutes to leave 30 minutes today.  That was verrry nice!  I love getting off in the daylight hours.

I started reading out loud to my mom a book called Love Saves The Day, it is definitely geared to cat lovers and it is supposedly written from the cats point of view.  If you are looking for a fun book and a change of pace from the norm, I highly recommend this book and we are only in about 50 pages or so.  It is written by Gwen Cooper.

Inspiring Employees to live healthier and wiser

Posting for Thursday, April 4th, 2013

So my employer wants to get us healthier and moving more, which to me sounds like a great plan. They are giving us all fitbits, those that are interested in taking the 10,000 steps a day challenge or more.  The top winners of all teams when this ends could win an Ipad 4, a $100 gift card from Dick's, and other prizes.  Of course, the Ipad intrigues me.  We will have to see how this works.  I think in all actuality one takes many more than 10,000 steps per day without even realizing it.

My fitbit is black and I am to program it this weekend for this contest starts on Monday the 8th, wish me luck I will keep ya'll updated on the progress. I am really looking forward to this challenge.

Back to the grind stone

Posting for Wednesday, April 3rd, 2013

Back to work I went on Wednesday and it felt like I had never been gone those 2 days.  We have been so crazy busy, the phone never stops ringing and customers have been really patient lately, almost scares me.  Like a full moon is coming around the corner very soon.  I am sure that when folks find out their utility bills will be higher for April and May then the calls will come faster and more furious.  At least it is job security and I should be thankful for that.  Key word here is should be.  Just not sure this is the venue I am destined to be working in, time will tell.

It's learning the skills to get back in your range.
It's telling yourself, "You've done great up till now.
You can take on this challenge and beat it somehow."
It's part of your journey toward reaching your goal.
You're still gonna make it, just stay in control.
To stumble and fall is not a disgrace,
If you summon the will to get back in the race.
But, often the struggler's, when loosing their grip,
Just throw in the towel and continue to slip.
And learn too late when the damage is done,
that the race wasn't over...they still could have won.
Lifestyle change can be awkward and slow,
but facing each challenge will help you grow.
Success is failure turned inside out,
the silver tint in a cloud of doubt.
When you're pushing to the brink, just refuse to submit,
If you bite it, you write it....But don't you quit!

Only One Pound

Hello, do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat,
And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Sick, dizzy, world spinning

Posting for April 1st, 2013

I was looking forward to April Fool's day at work, but it was not meant to be.  As soon as my feet hit the floor I was dizzy.  I decided to wash my hair anyway thinking it would get better, it only got worse from there.  I began vomitting and diarrhea.  So I had to stay home.  After Brittanee left I took my meds and had to go back to bed for most of the most of the day.

What a day!  No April Fool trickery for me.  Mother Nature or whoever is responsible for me being sick got the last laugh on me.  I wasn't laughing and still am not.

Thank God for Phenergan.

Hoppy Easter

Posting for Sunday, March 31st, 2013

Easter Sunday was a peaceful good day for all of us.  Again we watched basketball, I spent a lot of time in the kitchen, but not making those time consuming cake balls.

Brittanee got a massage for Easter, a movie, a movie gift card, a dancing flower for her desk at work and some Ghiradelli candy.  I think she had a good Easter.

We enjoyed some Marx BBQ ham and mashed potatoes and veggies.  Brittanee made her famous pineapple cake and it was delish.

A lot of running with Brittanee

Posting for Saturday, March 30th, 2013

Soooo....in between watching March madness basketball, Brittanee and I ran some errands.  I went to tan at Lets Get Tan then we took Baby to Give A Dog A Bone and let her pick herself up some treats.  We stopped by Sams, Kirklands, Target, then went for a walk around EAgle Crest lake, and then picked up Turoni's to take home. Yummy.

After watching more basketball, we settled down to watch the movie Flight, it was a pretty good movie, held all of our attention.  And while at Sam's I discovered a yummy new snack, Skinny Popcorn.  If you haven't tried it yet, I encourage you to do so!  It is great and good for you, something I usually don't like.  But i am no long a Skinny popcorn virgin and I couldn't be happier!
